1971 Torino GT
This Torino began its life as a 351W car and was upgraded with a
429 Super Cobra Jet in 2022. It was rebuilt to receive the 429 but
was not installed until 2022. Previous owner was intending to put
it on the track. I have never had it on the track.
2012: New air shocks & rear leaf spring bushings (polyurethane,
front and rear)
2015: New paint
2017:
Installed Fat Man front drop down spindles
Replaced upper & lower control arms
New front coil springs and insulators
Replaced sway bar end links
Replaced brake system front to back with new master cylinder
and booster
2017-2018:
Converted steering from power to manual
Installed reman. manual steering gear
New tie rods, center link and pitman arm
Alignment
Reconfigured belt drive to account for manual steering
2022:
Built 429SCJ: Boiled, balanced, new plugs, bearings etc.
Keith Black pistons, Ferries valves, PEP aluminum roller rockers,
Arp head and main studs, Arp Con rod bolts, chromoly push rods,
new comp cam (VE274H-10) and hydraulic lifters.
Comp cam valve springs, keepers, guide plates and rocker studs,
Comp Cam double roller timing set, 2,000 Street Master torque
converter, Powermaster starter, Pertronix Flame-Thrower
distributor, Holley 850 aluminum double pumper carburetor,
Rebuilt C6 automatic transmission, 410 gears, posi., New
driveshaft, BM shifter
2024:
Complete new interior, reupholstered seats, new carpet, new
headliner, installed center console, package tray, speakers
2025: NOS Headlight surrounds and grills, new tires
And much more. There is hardly anything on this 71GT that has
not been touched or is not new.
Glass is excellent although passenger window needs slight repair
in alignment. Car is a driver, a couple minor flaws in paint.
